Una raza de hada que inventé para el concurso del segundo aniversario del webcomic El Vosque [link] ilustrado por la genial :iconlaurielle-maven:~Laurielle-Maven y escrito por Morán de Eh tio! [link]

Las Daelynn son hermosas hadas de cabello, ojos, labios y alas turquesas como los pétalos aterciopelados de su flor. Sus alas también tienen una textura aterciopelada, y tanto estas como el iris de sus ojos, al igual que los pétalos de la flor, brillan en la oscuridad. Este brillo atrae a los insectos a la bella flor, convirtiéndolos en su cena, ya que la Daelynn es una planta carnívora.

Durante siglos, las hadas Daelynn han usado su brillo para guiar a los viajeros perdidos en la noche, a veces hacia un refugio seguro, aunque no todas las Daelynn tienen una moral inmaculada y algunas hadas bromistas distraen a los viajeros de su camino y los hacen perderse, caer en acantilados, chocarse contra los árboles o incluso entrar accidentalmente en un asentamiento élfico y convertirse en la cena. Por eso no es recomendable confiar en la luz turquesa de una Daelynn cuando se viaja de noche por el bosque.

Su caracter nocturno, casi tanto como el de las Giralunas, y sus costumbres viajeras, las convierten en excelentes espías y agentes de reconocimiento del territorio. Algunas Daelynn han aprendido a apagar su brillo, pero las demás, cuando necesitan pasar desapercibidas durante la noche suelen usar una amplia capa oscura y cubrirse el rostro con una capucha.

Apéndice botánico:
La flor de Daelynn tiene seis pétalos turquesas de textura aterciopelada, cada uno con un hueco en forma de gota, por donde dejan pasar el aire, lo que le permite a la flor cerrarse con una velocidad sorprendente en el instante que un insecto se posa sobre la misma. Luego, envuelta por los pétalos, la víctima es devorada a través de la abertura dentada en medio de la flor.

No, they're born from a flower.Each species is linked to their own flower. And... I think they do turn into a flower but when they die. Is part of the "mythology" (if you can call it that) from the webcomic El Vosque, so I invented this species but not the rules.

That's kind of creepy; so when lovers pluck flowers to give to one another, it's like giving ones beloved a fairy corpse... o_0

There's a strip in the webcomic bonus section in which a man leaves a lot of flowers in the bedroom for his lover, and a fairy enters and screams "who filled the house with corpses?!?!"
So... yeah... The comic has a lot of dark humor. Anyway, I don't think they meant ALL the flowers are dead fairies...

I'm just guessing... as I said, I only did this for a competition, I'm just a reader of the webcomic... you should ask Laurielle if you wanna know more. Or read the comic, if you can read in spanish.
